the one thing bedrock has that beats java is the community modded gamemodes that totally transform the game. Java mods can do excellent transformative things as well, but Its not as common to see minecraft essentially turned into a spin off of itself from head to toe.

Food idea: Salt and pepper. Usage: Adding salt or pepper to raw meat before cooking it will fill 0.5 hunger points more once you eat it. So A seasoned steak with both salt and pepper will give 5 hunger points. Obtaining: Salt grows from salt deposits in caves. They spawn in veins of 1 and drop Rock Salt. When used in a stone cutter it becomes salt which is used to season. (Additionally 4 Rock salt would be crafted into Salt blocks) Pepper can be grown similar to sweet berries but still require water and tilled soil. When pepper plant is picked you get 1-3 spicy peppers. Eating a plain spicy pepper fills 1 hunger point and gives swiftness 1 for 15 seconds. When you put 1 spicy pepper in a crafting table you get 1 Pepper which you can use to season meat. That’s my idea for salt and pepper idk.
